Audi Education Partnership Site

Audi of America, an operating division of Volkswagen Group Of America, Inc. (“AoA” or “Audi”; collectively, “we”, “us”), is committed to protecting your privacy.  This privacy statement specifically describes the data collected, used and shared when using this website (“Site”). Our collection, access, use, disclosure and safeguarding of your data is subject to U.S. law.  To the extent there is a conflict with the AoA privacy statement, available at audiusa.com/privacy, and this privacy statement, this statement governs with respect to data collected via this Site.

This Site provides users with a platform to search and apply for technical and service positions with Audi Authorized Dealerships.

Types of Information Collected.  The information identified below is collected when you access and use the Site:

  1. Information you provide to us

(a) Submitted Information. As part of using the Site, you may create an account and submit certain information, including Personal Information. Personal Information refers to information such as a name, phone number, address or email address that we can directly associate with a specific person.  You may also submit a resume and or details about your work and education history.

(b) Communications. If you contact us directly, we may receive additional information about you including your name, email address, phone number, the contents of a message or attachments that you may send to us, and other information you choose to provide.

  1. Information we automatically collect when you use the Site

(a) Cookie-based Information.  We use third party cookies, including Google Analytics, to analyze user activity to optimize and improve the Site.  Google collects and uses data through Google Analytics as described here.

(b) IP address, other information automatically collected about users to Site?  

How the Information is Used.  We may use the information we collect as follows:

(a) Provision of Service. We use collected information for the purposes for which you provided the information; for instance, in connection with a job application. We also share the information, per your direction, with the Authorized Audi Dealer(s) to which the job posting relates. We will not provide your personally identifiable information to other third parties for their own marketing purposes without your consent, unless otherwise specified in this statement.

(b) Updates and Troubleshooting. We may also use the collected information to contact you regarding updates or modifications to the Site or to help troubleshoot problems and also to alert you to changes in our policies or agreements that may affect your use of the Site.

(c) Personalized Content. We may use the collected information to personalize content based on personal characteristics, preferences or usage history.

Disclosure of Information.  We share and disclose the information we collect about you as follows:

(a) We share your information, upon your direction, with our Authorized Audi Dealers. We also may share your information within the Volkswagen Group family of companies, which includes parents, corporate affiliates, subsidiaries, business units and other companies that share common ownership, including VW AG.  Some of our affiliates, including VW AG, are located outside of the United States. 

(b) Third-party Service Providers. We may share your information with third-party service providers working on our behalf to assist us in making the Site and its features available. Such third-parties may obtain access to the information you provide, including personally identifiable information. They are required to protect this information in a manner that is consistent with this Policy.

(c) Aggregated Data. We may make aggregated, anonymous data relating to Site activity available to third parties.

(d) Transfer as Corporate Asset. In the event of a merger, sale of capital stock or assets, reorganization, consolidation or similar transaction involving AoA the information we possess, including personally identifiable information, shall be transferred as a corporate asset to the acquiring entity.

(g) Legal Requirement. We will use and disclose information where we, in good faith, believe that the law or legal process (such as a court order, search warrant or subpoena) requires us to do so or in other circumstances where we believe it is necessary to protect the rights or property of AoA, our users and/or third parties.

Your Choices Regarding Information. 

Email Subscriptions. You can always unsubscribe from our commercial emails by clicking the “unsubscribe” button at the bottom of the email, but we may still send you transactional and relational emails about your use of the Site.

Nevada residents: please contact us at privacy@audi.com to inquire about your right to opt out of the sale of your personal information.

California residents: As a California resident, you have certain rights, subject to legal limitations, regarding the collection, use, and sharing of your personal information.

Please note that certain rights may be limited where your personal information is subject to certain state or federal laws, such as the Fair Credit Reporting Act (“FCRA), the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (“GLBA”), or the California Financial Information Privacy Act.

Right to Opt-Out/Do Not Sell

California Consumers have the right to request that we not sell your personal information to third parties. However, even if you opt-out, we are allowed to continue sharing with service providers as permitted by law.

Where our web properties use cookies or other tracking technologies to transfer your personal information to third parties, those web properties will offer you an option to set preferences for online data sharing, found by clicking the link in a cookie banner.

Right to Delete

California Consumers have the right to request that we delete personal information about you that we have collected from you.

Right to Know

California Consumers have the right to request that we disclose personal information that we have about you. You can request that we provide you with the categories of personal information we have collected in the 12 months preceding your request, and information about how we used and shared those categories of information. You can also request that we provide you the specific pieces of personal information that we have about you.

California Consumers can submit a Request to Know twice in a 12-month period and the report will be provided free of charge.

Verification

In order to verify your identity, match you to our records, and to reduce fraud, will ask you for your personal information or information about you. You will need to provide certain pieces of information. The information you provide must match our records in a manner that we have determined to be reliable, for us to process your request. We may also ask you to provide a signed declaration, under penalty of perjury, that you are the person whose personal information is the subject of the request. We also use third party verification companies to help us verify your identify.

Household request

If you are submitting a request on behalf of a household, we will need to verify each member of the household in the manner set forth above.

Use of authorized agent

If you are making any of the requests above as an authorized agent, we will require written authorization or a valid Power of Attorney. Additionally, we will seek to verify your identify in the manner stated above.  To make a request using an authorized agent please call (844) 987-2272.

Timing of Response

We will respond to Requests to Delete and Requests to Know within 45 calendar days, unless we need more time, in which case, we will notify you. It may take up to 90 calendar days in total to respond to your request. We will respond to Requests to Opt Out/Do Not Sell within 15 business days. In accordance with applicable law, we will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

Changes to This Privacy Statement.  AoA reserves the right to amend this Privacy Statement at any time. Please check the statement frequently to inform yourself about any changes to the applicable Privacy Statement. Your continued use of the Site affirms your agreement to any such changes.
